What causes brain fog?

Brain fog is described as problems with attention span, concentration and short-term memory. Some individuals also have trouble findings words during conversation. Brain fog can negatively affect career and academic performance.

How does it happen? Attention, concentration, memory and language are some of the most complex functions human brain can perform. Different parts of the brain must work in perfect harmony to achieve this.

Any physical or psychological condition that disturbs this harmony can cause - brain fog.

Some of the causes of brain fog are – poor sleep quality, migraine, medication/drugs, nutritional deficiency, depression, kidney/liver disease, cancer, multiple sclerosis and aftermath of COVID19 or other viral illness.

These conditions prevent brain cells to function at its full potential.
